A survey course to provide an understanding of the nature and extent of crime in the United States. The course covers types of crime from conventional crime to white collar and occupational crime as well as terrorism and other criminal events. The course also provides a brief overview of the components of the criminal and juvenile justice systems as well as other public safety agencies.
